I found myself in an unfamiliar area and saw the J & E fish bar. The OAP special is £7.00 and represents great value for such perfect fish & chips! My cod was obviously fresh and its brilliant large white flakes were encased in a lovely light crispy batter. The fish had steamed in the batter and wasn't greasy. Chips were plentiful and well cooked too - crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle.
